Extended Warranties: 60% Off! Really????

I actually received an email offering an extended service contract for 60% off. See photo above. So a couple of things jumped out at me:
There is no business name on the graphic and the graphic was pretty much the whole email. No business name? That seems a bit sketchy to me. So let's call them Brand X.
We decorate all of our advertising with two important pieces of information. First, we are CarGuard. We're on the web. Look us up. Name, address and telephone number all available.
The other thing I noticed, and what truly troubled me was this: They were offering an extended service contract at 60% off their regular price! I'm not sure what that's telling you, but it tells me Brand X must either be in real financial trouble or they were seriously overcharging with their original pricing. Either way, the message is not good.
A contract which was originally offered at $2,500 (a fair price) would only cost $1000 (a crazy price) if you took 60% off. Or perhaps it's $2,500 after the discount making the 'regular' price $4,167 (again, a crazy price).
So how about this? A consistent price for a consistent product?? from time to time, CarGuard does offer specials - a hundred bucks here or there. But not 60%!!!
