F.A.Q.

Why Car Guard?
Our goal is to get you the most complete coverage in the industry backed by the strongest, most reputable insurance companies in the industry. Not all
Extended Service Contract providers can make this claim.

Q. If my car is three years old and I buy a five year plan, how long is my car covered?
If you buy a five year plan, your car is covered for five years. It doesn’t matter how old
your car is.The term of the policy starts when you purchase coverage.

Q. I still have coverage from the manufacturer. Do I need Car Guard?
The sooner you purchase coverage, the cheaper it is. Lock into today’s lower prices while your car is still relatively new and protect your investment from rising costs.

Q. My dealer can offer me coverage that might be cheaper than Car Guard?
Maybe. You may be required to get your work done at a dealer. Car Guard pays the full parts and labor rate to the repair facility. Your dealer has to honor factory-specified parts and labor costs that significantly discount his value and limit his profit. Which extended service contract do you think he prefers?

Q. What if I need to get my car repaired?
Well first, a CarGuard service contract will help you get your disabled car to the repair shop of your choice.  Once there, present the service representative with a copy of your contract. If the repair work is covered, you’re done! No paperwork, no reimbursements. Isn’t that how it should be?

Q. Is the Car Guard contract transferable if I sell my car?
Yes. Not only is this great protection against inevitable repair, a Car Guard extended service contract is transferable to the new owner of your car should you decide to sell your car. Car Guard increases the value of your car and makes it a better purchase when you sell.

Q. What if I decide to cancel my coverage?
No problem. In the first 30 days, you will receive a full refund. After that, you will receive a pro-rata refund based on how many miles you’ve driven or how long the policy has been in service. Which ever is greater.
